Sing a ditty for change [1]

For centuries, songs have been a weapon of propaganda. Simple tunes, catchy lyrics, composed and performed, passed on in different social settings, often in times of civil strife, popular resentment or rebellion against power. Political ideas were conceived and spread through songs. Kings would commission songs to influence the citizens against their foes. Throughout Europe, the mistrial was highly regarded for news and entertainment and a tool of influence. Simple lampooning, parody songs were great tools against power and control.

There is history in the US of this art form. Francis Scott Keys’ poem, “Defense of Fort M’Henry” was put to music using a popular drinking song of the time and is now our Star-Spangle Banner. The popular US patriotic song, Yankee Doodle was a parody song the British used to mock colonist. And we can all agree, no one mocks better than the British!

In that tradition, I humble suggest that simple lampooning songs be created to mind worm the masses against Trump and the MAGA nation. I happen to have a sample ditty, sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle, which all are encouraged to improve upon, please.

Donald Trump when to DC

Riding on an Elephant

Lied and grifted rube and fools

And called it MAGA Nation

Chorus

MAGA Nation wake thee up

MAGA Nation warning

Mind your wallets and your health

Cause Donald Trump will rob thee

Stormy Danials did declare

Trumps penis was strange and tiny

Mushroom dick and dainty hands

He almost lasted two minutes.

He failed at every business venture

Only succeeded with daddy’s money

All that Trump touches dies

Including his elderly voters.

Never in Trumps family

Has anyone served their country

He doesn’t love the USA

and says Soldiers all are suckers

I mean these lyrics, as poor as they are, really write themselves.

People try to avoid his stench

He suffers anal leakage

Depend cladded stinky butt

He smells like poopy diapers

His MAGA cult drank equine piss

Consumed meds for deworming

Refused vaccines to save their lives

And died like cult disciples

Well, I hope you get the drift

Of what I’m trying to do here

Go sing out loud in bars and crowds

to save our mighty nation.

If you think these lyrics are bad, you should hear my singing.

May you joyfully bring together voices, wit and humor to mock and ridicule this most odious man.
