SCOTUS Leaks Abortion Emergency Opinion [1]

Bloomberg reports (per CNN) the court posted on their website an opinion siding with the Biden administration allowing doctors to perform abortions to protect the mother’s health in emergency cases.

Bloomberg is pay walled. CNN has not seen the document, and it is no longer available.

This is an appeal of the case in Idaho.

I don’t see this as a major win, but more common sense.

The copy reviewed by Bloomberg showed the court voting 6-3 to allow the emergency abortions to take place in Idaho on a temporary basis while the case continues.

The Supreme Court’s decision “will prevent Idaho from enforcing its abortion ban when the termination of a pregnancy is needed to prevent serious harms to a woman’s health,” Justice Elena Kagan said in a concurring opinion, according to Bloomberg.
