Biden’s Big Play [1]

First, let’s be clear. There will be no “debate” taking place tonight. Debates involve a back and forth exchange of rational arguments. That’s not possible with Pervert Hoover on the other side, assuming he shows up.

Instead, this will be a Vaudeville act without a punch line. It will be a straight man working with a demented clown hopped up on Adderall and Diet Coke. It will be a train wreck we can’t look away from, and that is TFG’s strategy.

If he can create chaos, dance around like a maniac, and avoid answering direct questions, he wins (in his mind and that of his MAGA base). If he avoids getting pinned down by Biden on any topic through Gish Gallop and wild boasts and accusations, the MSM will claim him the victor. Biden cannot “win” against that storm of invective dissembly.



Biden really has only one play, and I will be watching for it right off the bat, because I hope/pray/predict he will do it.



Biden has to needle the bejeesus out of TFG. He has to get under his skin, insult him, belittle him, and generally treat him the way he treats everyone around him. I expect Biden to call him “Donald,” in the tone of an angry but bemused grandfather. Biden will call him “this guy,” and “this felon” and anything else except what TFG wants to be called. Biden should do everything he can to make TFG look stupid, until the Orange Palpatine explodes, because you know he will.



One of the sad symptoms of dementia is an inability to control one’s temper, so it shouldn’t take too long, but that’s the best play. Make him throw a temper tantrum in front of 50 million viewers. Make him show his true face to the world, while Biden stands strong and presidential. That’s his best play. That may be his only play. We shall see.
