Emergency Fundraiser for eeff - Updates! [1]

Time is short for eeff. As many of you know eeff has had two knee replacement surgeries, the first on the 21st of February. Did a fundraiser for him on Feb 16th with all the pertinent details. Link here — Let's set someone free. eeff needs two new knees so he can walk again. We can make it so. Updates.

The financial result of both surgeries would be at least six months with eeff unable to work. This amazing community helped by providing a cushion that allowed him to survive until disability monies kicked in.

eeff recovered well and had the second knee replacement the end of May. He was led to believe he would receive a $2800 check on June 21st, and a monthly check after that.

Instead, he was just informed that his “long term” disability had been denied.

Since he had not applied for long term, only short term or temporary disability, being denied long term disability is to say the least confusing. Obviously given how these things work, it’s going to take a while to get things hopefully straightened out. Appeals take time and time is something eeff does not have.

eeff has $100 in the bank. That’s it.

Obviously he’s unable to work. One of my fears is that he’ll try to get back to work far too soon, which he is making noises about doing, and cripple himself. The other is that he’ll lose his home and have nowhere to live.

So here I am beloved community, asking for your kind help so eeff can keep a roof over his head, food on the table, and have time to heal properly.

I’d love it if we raise at least $6000 for him. That would cover two months' rent, food, utilities, etc. That would ensure eeff has time to heal no matter what the insurance company does.
