Oklahoma REQUIRES All Teachers to Teach the Bible [1]

Louisiana mandated posting the Ten Commandments in every classroom. Oklahoma decided to go one better. CNN has just posted this story: Oklahoma state superintendent announces all schools must incorporate the Bible and the Ten Commandments in curriculums :

All Oklahoma schools are required to incorporate the Bible and the Ten Commandments in their curriculums, effective immediately, the state’s chief education officer announced in a memorandum Thursday. At a State Board of Education meeting, Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters said the Bible is “one of the most foundational documents used for the Constitution and the birth of our country.”

Not just post the Bible; teach from the Bible:

Every classroom in the state must have a Bible and all teachers must teach from the Bible in the classroom, Walters said.

I have a suggestion: They should with this passage — 2 Kings 2:23-24

23He went up from there to Bethel; and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go away, baldhead! Go away, baldhead!” 24When he turned around and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two she-bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys.

Maybe this should be taught by bald-headed teachers?

There’s lots more good stuff: Amnon raping his sister Tamar (2 Sam. 13), Lot’s daughters getting their father drunk so they can have sex with him (to repopulate the earth, you see) ( Gen. 19:30-38), the two prostitutes (What’s a prostitute, Daddy?) who came to King Solomon to decide which one was the true mother of the living child (1 Kings 3:16-28), and oh yes, let’s explain Solomon’s 700 wives and 300 concubines (what’s a concbuine, Mommy?). Add to the list in the comments.
