First time running for public office [1]

Hello,

My name is Randy Aldieri and I am running for FL State Senate District 29. This is my first foray into politics and running for office. However, I was an HOA president for a couple years and those who have attended HOA meetings know what that is like.

Folks talk quite a bit about the intent of our forefathers in regard to politics and policies. My favorite is the idea you serve your term then go back to the farm and continue your life. Not many farmers nowadays, but the idea still holds. I’ve also seen several articles about the benefits of randomly selecting office holders from the general population vs. having elections and admit it sounds tempting.

So, you get the idea I’m not looking to be a career politician. I have a BA in psychology and an MA in business. I’ve worked with Fortune 500 companies and small owner run businesses generally related to sales and efficiencies. Government cannot be run like a business because the issues are much more complex than increasing a stock price or maintaining a profit. It can be more efficient when people are not motivated by building their kingdoms.
