It is worse than Black Friday. Maybe we should call it Black Robed Friday [1]

The conservatives are ruthless and play to win, even if it takes decades.

I’m not even sure who the biggest villain is.

The media for coddling Trump in 2016?

The russians for their troll farm and phishing expedition?

Comey? Manafort? Murdoch? Stone? Stein? Limbaugh? Leo? Assange?

Or every Republican who voted for voter suppression laws?

This is what the Poles must have felt on October 7 1939.

Unable to put up any resistance and utterly swept off the field.

With years or decades of misery ahead of them, if they survive.

How long before contraception is gone?

Voting rights?

Gay rights?

Interracial marriage?

Women’s rights?

And forget about even the meaningless “thoughts and prayers” after the next mass shooting.

Fascism is never having to say you’re sorry.

The next election is truly the most important in history.

Star Wars may have been prescient: “So this is how liberty dies. With thunderous applause.”
