First Post-Debate Poll - Biden Winning and Up From Prior Poll [1]

Can’t write in detail due to weekend work, but just saw the first major post debate poll from a credible source — Morning Consult. While most voters including a 47% plurality of Democrats want Biden to step aside, Biden is also still ahead of Trump by one point — 45/44, and up a point from their prior poll.

These results are not inconsistent — most people think we have a better chance with someone besides Joe, but also still hate Trump and won’t vote for him.

To be clear, the important thing is not the results on whether Joe should step aside but that the debate did not hurt Joe’s chances. If anything it helped because Trump was on full display as the sociopath he is and always will be.

To be even clearer, for all the hand wringers, THIS IS GOOD NEWS.
