In the middle of the current heavy and heart-felt discussions on the outcome of last Thursday’s Presidential debate, please let us not forget that the war in Ukraine rages on and JRB’s staunch and stalwart support, in spite of Republican Trumpist intransigence, has enabled the Ukrainian people to fight Putin and Russia’s vaunted “World’s Second Army” to a frazzle. There’s a Russian skedaddle currently under way in Vovchansk … reported loss of one of their most elite VDV formations and an Azovstal in reverse with dozens of Russians trapped in a chemical plant.

But on the ground in Ukraine, the Bradley Fighting Vehicle continues its starring role for the Ukrainian army. Seemingly everyday brings images of the exploits of the Bradley. The Ukrainians are now putting the Bradley on point to lead assaults. I am not sure if the designers of this amazing piece of American ingenuity had this role of leading armored assaults in mind but I believe that both the Russians and Ukrainians have developed a well-deserved respect for what this fighting machine can do. Perhaps they should change it’s name to either the “Wolverine” or “Honey Badger”. The Bradley has proven that it can really throw down with the best armor the Russians can bring to the fight.
