Tim, you’ve been a great Never Trumper the last few years, thoughtful and informative. I’m sorry you’ve received so much rude feedback to your calls to replace Biden. We should be able to disagree with you civilly.

I know you want Trump defeated, but your calls to replace Biden help Trump, not Democrats, and not America.

The smartest thing Trump ever said was that he could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and not lose votes. It sounded dumb at the time, but it turns out he’s right. Such is the rot in a Republican party that reveres the multiple felon, adjudicated rapist, and sordid grifter.

The media knows Trump’s base doesn’t care about his spectacular shortcomings. That’s why they treat every horrifying thing he says as old news.

Tim, it’s time you and the rest of the media realized something about the Democratic base: Joe Biden is our guy. He has had a wildly successful first term. I mean, dude has gotten shit done. You know this; you’ve frequently given Biden props for his legislative and diplomatic accomplishments. The three years of success is what’s important, not one bad debate.

Joe Biden is not getting replaced as the Democratic nominee. We, his base, don’t care about Thursday’s debate the same way MAGA doesn’t care about Trump’s crimes, sexual assaults, and lust for power.

The debate is old news, because we the base saw it and support Joe anyway. So, Tim, stop talking about replacing Biden, and stop criticizing us as clueless and uninformed. Get back to helping Joe win by attacking Trump.
