Hiya venthooligans, how was your weekend?

Mine was spent in San Diego at a librarians' conference and no, we don't go around shusshhing each other in the convention hall. I had a good time seeing a couple of friends from olden days -- I moved away from S.D. in 1980. It's a nice place to visit. I got a nostalgia tour of some old stomping grounds -- Balboa Park, a sunset visit to OB (Ocean Beach), and a quick trip to Coronado. As I write, I'm waiting for my ride to the airport and fantasizing that I can convince my daughter to move to Portugal with me. Haha, we can barely sit in the same room together. Anyway it'd be too hot for us there. It seems there's no escaping our Creeping Christianist Fascist Fate.
