It doesnt matter who is running against Trump. And, given that, Biden is TERRIFIC [1]

This election — like the last one — is a referendum on Donald Trump. He sucks all the air out of the room. Every conversation is a conversation about him. That’s the reality of it. It. Just. Is.



I mean *here*, we can tout Biden’s *many* accomplishments. *Here* we can favorably compare Biden to Clinton, or Johnson, or Eisenhower. We are not average Americans. Average Americans think of Clinton and a blowjob. They don’t remember Johnson. They think that Eisenhower is an expressway in Chicago. Well, Chicagoans do.



Americans remember Trump. They may not do it accurately. But they remember covid. And they remember Roe. And they know which side of both of those Trump was on.



And *still* we are looking at a 50/50 election.



It doesnt *matter* who is running against Trump. Jesus Christ himself could be running against Trump, and the evangelicals would vote Trump. And, because of the structural nature of the Electoral College, we would still be looking at a 50/50 race. And, it would come down to the same 7 states. And, the same calculus. Except that Jesus wouldn’t be as strong a candidate with women, or, frankly, with Blacks, since he didn’t repudiate slavery when he had the chance.



Biden is a *terrific* President, and much better than we could possibly have asked for, with the reality of Manchin and Sinema. He gives us a *lot* of positive that we can talk about.



None of it matters.



ALL that matters is: do you want a second Trump term, or not? And, does it matter that he now has absolute powers to commit any dang crime he can think of against the State, against the Person, and against Property? Because the Supreme Court has now made it so — whether *he* wants to be a dictator or not (and you *know* he does) — he never has to leave office.



Is *this* the guy you want in power *forever*, or not? That is the *only* question that will be answered in the 2024 election. The rest of it is meaningless. Oh, 14 states will have abortion on the ballot in November? Not really. Not if Trump is elected. Oh, the Compact is likely to give us the popular vote in 2028 or 2032. Ha ha ha ha ha.



It doesn’t *matter* that Biden won’t use his newfound SCOTUS-gifted powers to stay in office forever: Trump will.



And, half the country wants to make that happen. And by any means necessary. Cuz he’ll pardon the lot of them. Or, he’ll say he will.



Like it or not: this is the election: Trump or not-Trump?



And let the chips fall where they may.
