Trump Just Lost the Ability to Prosecute Joe Biden [1]

TFG has been promising / threatening to prosecute Joe Biden for . . . things. Doesn’t matter what; he just wants revenge for being beaten fair and square in the 2020 election. But the Supreme Court’s granting him immunity for any official acts taken while he was president has this unexpected side effect: Biden is also immune from prosecution for any Justice Department actions taken against Trump.

Never mind that the one conviction — so far — was from a state court that Biden and the DOJ had nothing to do with. Trump claims Biden is responsible and wants him prosecuted for it. If Biden did use the DOJ to go over Trump, that’s an official act. And the Supreme Court just gave him immunity for it.

It will be interesting to see what legal gordian knots the SCROTUS justices will tie themselves into to work it so that Trump gets immunity but Biden does not.
