Then, on the rest of the menu, nine Oregon Senate Republicans are seeking to tie rising electricity rates to a program that is not yet in effect; Nevada has verified enough signatures to put a constitutional amendment for abortion rights on the ballot; and, California is the first of three states to pass bills requiring tracking codes for gun stores, while seventeen states have passed bills barring or limiting gun store codes.

After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where Australia has appointed only the second woman governor-general in 123 years to represent the British monarch; and, the European Union is escalating its scrutiny of the artificial intelligence industry.
