Good morning! Today is the fifth Tuesday that Donald Trump has been a convicted felon. But possibly the first one during which he is immune from being a convicted felon.

Hey, not a great day at the Supreme Court yesterday. Especially if you’re a law liker.

But at least Steve (K.G.) Bannon, who is not a president, went to jail yesterday. That’s a good thing. We just have to watch out for Trump dynamiting the prison walls and setting him free — an act for which he might enjoy immunity, because who can say for sure when a presidential term begins and ends? We may never know.

I couldn’t blame Joan McCarter if she decided not to get out of bed this morning. There’s no law that says she has to. And honestly, even if there was one, we can’t be sure whether it still applies, if there’s a tired Republican somewhere.

Ha ha! What am I saying? That it would apply equally?

Well, we’re starting at 9 am, regardless. After that, we’ll see if there’s still clocks in this country.
