Fascism, Christianity, patriarchy, and white supremacism are on the march in Western Democracies.

This time the enemy has been allowed to fester from within, using softer rhetoric than before yet still engendering the same victimhood and hatred. RW evangelical Christianity gives all a nice warm moral covering, it’s God's work. The US is ahead of the curve but only just; it's a squeaker.

SCOTUS fired the major salvo to kick off the war laying the foundations for the first Führer of the US. [By encouraging evangelicals to become politicized Ronald Reagan started the rot].

Militarization of the police soon followed.

The War on Women has been ongoing and ever-quickening.

The LGBTQIA+ has always been their enemy.

Immigration once the lifeblood of the US has been turned into the invasion of the brown folk.

Demonstrations are regarded as a threat and new laws are passed to suppress the wrong type.

Any non-conformist needs to be crushed.

The war on terror is being turned inwards on the rest of us, we are their enemy.

Project 2025 is only the initial blueprint just wait until a corrupt President is elected, and it’ll change.

This is our reply to the rise of authoritarians, religious and otherwise across the world?

What scares me most [over here] is that the younger generations are being led down this nasty path by social media and those that use it “best”. The miasma of half-truths and lies being given legitimacy and filtering into general news and discourse. AI when used by nefarious actors is only in its infancy.

We are losing this war of ideas. Scientists, engineers, and experts in many fields are being attacked and the results of the research are being discredited with lies.

What are the Ukrainians dying for, something we are ourselves abandoning?

Yet somehow the apartheid and Fascist government of Israel is supported without restraint?

Catastrophic wars elsewhere “in brown people” territory are ignored.

Who/what are we becoming?

I had hoped for better.

We all need to choose, ignoring is not an option.

It's too late for intellectual comprehension.

A morning muse
