Wh 2024-07-02 08:29:54+00:00 A lesson from British politics is that if you let right-wing weirdoes present themselves as unrepresented victims then they can & will slowly grow their base¹ by engaging those who mindlessly hate all politics, or who want to stick up a finger at the establishment. So in the wake of the European elections (which I suspect the French people view in the same laissez-faire manner that the British did²) is it not wise for Macron to “lance the boil” and force the French electorate to decide if they really want to be fascists?
