Two top DOJ employees resign, office confirms – Daily Montanan [1] ['Daily Montanan Staff', 'More From Author', '- November'] Date: 2022-11 Two top officials in Attorney General Austin Knudsen’s office resigned, KTVH reported earlier this week and Knudsen’s office confirmed. Chief Deputy Attorney General Derek Oestreicher and Solicitor General David Dewhirst have stepped down. KTVH reports Dewhirst will be replaced by Christian Corrigan, who previously served as Assistant Solicitor General, and that his last day was Friday. Dewhirst had been in the position since Jan. 2021 and previously served as counsel at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Oestreicher’s replacement is not yet known. He took the role in May following former Chief Deputy Attorney General Kris Hansen’s resignation. She passed away in July.
