You will be responsible for driving growth and development and enhancing the profile and research impact of the School and University by fostering linkages and relationships with industry, government, the professions and community. Continuing to build on a high-performance people culture, you will also provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to ensure academic achievement and the delivery of high-quality courses. This position may be renewed by mutual agreement and in accordance with the Charles Sturt University Executive Remuneration and Appointment Policy. To be successful you will have: • A PhD in a cognate discipline relevant to the School of Psychology. • Demonstrated success at improving research productivity and quality, including implementation of strategies for securing external research funding. • Proven ability to effectively lead and develop academic and professional staff, foster a productive organisational culture, operate within set budget parameters and deliver identified performance outcomes. • Demonstrated experience in academic management with sound decision-making skills, and the ability to work autonomously to enable effective management of a complex disciplinary environment. • A capacity for strategic management in a campus context, able to create innovative programs to meet broad market demand and lead change for performance improvements. • A track record of excellence in teaching and research, including recognition as a leading authority in a substantive area of Psychology, and demonstrated leadership and service to the profession.
