Students welcome ambassador and FLOTUS during coronation weekend [1]

The first lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden (center), joined Akshata Murty, the British prime minister’s wife (center left), and U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom Jane Hartley (center right) for a visit to the Charles Dickens Primary School in London during the weekend of King Charles’ coronation. During the school visit on May 5, Biden and Murty listened to a student musical performance, enjoyed conversation with students about farming in their school garden, and made coronation-themed arts and crafts. Biden served as the U.S. government’s representative to the coronation, highlighting the special relationship between the two nations.
