Known issues and limitations

1. Some files are missing from the corpus

The crawler that ran in 2007 wasn't perfect, and gopherspace itself
contains many dead or invalid links. This mirror does not attempt to
remove or fix any broken selectors. Invalid selectors will return the
following error message.

    Mozz.us / 404 NOT FOUND\r\n

2. There were encoding errors during extraction

When extracting the archive, GNU tar raised a handful of warnings
about illegal byte sequences. If you know more about how to fix these,
please get in touch with me!

3. Some large binary files were removed

The following directories were purged from this mirror in order to
reduce the total size footprint:

    gopher.dna.affrc.go.jp (DNA sequencing corpuses)

      - /0/FASTA_BLAST_DATA (3.5 GB)
      - /0/RiceGAAS (2.2 GB)
      - /0/Rice_Seq_DB (839 MB)
      - /0/codon (225 MB)
      - /0/dna_maff (162 MB)
      - /0/srs (108 MB)
