There's an awesome Mexican restraunt at the Boatworks mall (name escapes me), if you get a seat near the lake windows it's fun to watch the bats at sunset. But the expense of living there is what drove me to move to nearby Carson City. Also of interest, go down about 6 miles from town on 89 and you'll see the mansion they filmed the Tahoe scenes from "Godfather II." Very cool... IIR, there are a few head-friendly stores on the road between Tahoe City and Incline, but's it's been a couple of years. There's a local Dead cover band too, but I can't recall their name right now.
