The gopher server software you are now accessing will be phased out on or about
June 1, 1999.  The Gopher protocol, while still suitable for use, has fallen
into disuse and development on the server has ceased.  As such, no effort has
been made to bring the server into compliance with the miriad Y2K issues
approaching in the upcoming year.  Since all content in the subset of
Gopherspace served by this server has been migrated to the University Libraries
web presenses, or will be migrated by June 1, 1999, it was decided to
discontinue the server as of that date.  By that time, all content currently
available from the University Libraries via this gopher server will be available
from the web server located at http://www.lias.psu.edu .
