My Letter To The Editor Of The Tucson Citizen:

I was very disappointed in your shoddy reporting of the Tucson Police 
Department's "dog and phony show", under the title, "Seized firearms 
shown."  The article misrepresents a group of cherry-picked weapons, 
minimizing the more relevant facts that no more than 2 percent of 
firearms seized by TPD are "assault weapons" and, "The gangbangers are 
not using that kind of stuff. They want something they can use, then 
throw away."

As an instructor who happens to be certified as a Law Enforcement 
Handgun/Shotgun, Patrol Rifle and Tactical Shooting Instructor, I try to 
emphasize to my students that what you've got between your ears will 
ultimately make a bigger difference than what you got in your hand.
