Little things ------------- It's funny, right, how much of a difference the little things make in the day to day. For example, yesterday was still a day where I felt like I had a million things to get done and I ended the day with a million plus a few more still to get done. But I wasn't demoralized because I did things like managing to read a book while walking to do my errands, write a gemlog and a short phlog post, have a meeting about my job that had an agenda and wasn't miserable. So I felt like I could actually end the day with a sense of "okay, I'm done, and that's fine". I mean, look, I'm still an anxious wreck of a person but goddamn does even just having some small wins or moments that feel good such a big difference in terms of how it feels like you can frame your day. I posted a book review to my gemlog of the book I read while I was out walking: Make Time. It was probably one of the better books about time management I've read because it had a lot more practically feeling ideas to try and it emphasized that you should just be experimenting every day with what works for you. So, yeah, here's hoping I can make today feel good too and if I can't there's always tomorrow.
