Note taking

I'm trying to get better at note taking right
now since I feel like my memory problems mean
that while I read prodigiously I often don't
know what I know, if you know what I mean.

I spent a single night playing with org-roam
before it became clear that the zettelkasten
style note-taking is not what my brain likes. I
mean, look, I like the idea of easily linking
between different aspects of thinking but also
I can just use the normal org-mode linking
between headlines instead of having all these
separate files that aren't easily browsable.

I think it's going to be easier for me to keep
track of things if I just have hierarchical Big
Files in org-mode and use a lot of links to
connect ideas more organically.

Other than that I'm just sad right now, like
impossibly sad. The melancholy of the pandemic
is eating me alive right now.
