FocusMate ========= So I've been using the service focusmate for a few sessions a week the last few weeks. The tl;dr is that it's a way to set up appointments where you cowork with another person for either 25 or 50 minutes. The culture of it is that you announce to each other what you're going to work on at the beginning and then at the end of the session talk about how it went. It works shockingly well to help you focus because basically you're aware of the other person until you start to get into the zone and then once you're there you only really are aware of it when you start to flag and are tempted to get up, check twitter (my personal vice, &c. I'm going to try and keep doing a session or two a day for when I have something I really need to concentrate on.
