Planning for next term already December 14th 2023 ============================= Unsurprisingly I'm already figuring out what next term has in store for me. I'm teaching my intro logic class again, so that'll be easier now that I've already done like 12k words of note writing for it. I'm teaching the sequel to that class, which is a broad scattershot math class that---if the first class is baby's first logic class---this is kind of baby's first abstract algebra/category theory class but with a CS bent and no scary words Finally, I'm teaching the intro-intro c++ class, which I'm probably going to retool massively over how it's normally taught. This class is trying to be a gentle introduction but by the end of the term they've only *just* started with functions. That's not gentle that's boring. Gentle should mean something like "give enough programming constructs to make interesting things and then spend the term giving low-stakes practice with the ideas". So, yeah, I have like 3 and a half weeks until the next term starts. We'll see how much I can get done.
