I need to get back into shortwave. I ran powerline adapters for a couple
of years, and they turned my electrical wiring into a mass of
interference. All I'd hear is static and maybe WWV/H, faintly.

I should really get into HAM. I have a BaoFeng radio, been
procrastinating getting my technicians's license. My neightbor has a 20
foot mast and is running a repeater off of it!
