2019-8-24_intro I'm a self-employed writer, narrative designer, and content consultant. In practice, this means I spend my time working with words to make them convey highly specific messages. Sometimes it's a story in a video game, sometimes a novel. Other times it's building content for the web, a process that has left me with a few caustic opinions about the nature of the big internet. Outside of work I spend a fair amount of time reading, working on personal writing projects, hiking, biking, and traveling. I've trimmed my possessions down so they can all fit in my car, which neatly facilitates a semi-nomadic lifestyle. I usually enjoy traveling to forgotten and seemingly unimportant areas, though the occasional jaunt to a city does help stir the blood. Philosophy is one of my main interests. I'm currently working on a graduate degree in the field. My focus is philosophy of mind and philosophy of technology, two fields that begrudgingly lead me to applied ethics on occasion. I also enjoy reading metaphysics and epistemology. The bigger and more unanswerable questions that are asked, the more I'm interested in studying them. I'm here on the small internet because I crave simplicity and genuine communication. I know the people here share because they have an interest in sharing, and that makes everything they write more valuable in my eyes.
