These are not necessary my *favorite* games, but they sound nice.
I'll add new games later.

### Text games
 - moon-buggy
 - 2048.c: There are many other alternatives which you can run and play in your
   terminal. But this one sounds nicer.
 - pacman4console: Nice pacman game in your terminal.
 - bsdgames: not really a game but a collection of games like worm, snake and
   toys like random, rot13, pig, primes.
 - ninvaders: a console version of Space Invaders

### Graphical games which don't require good graphics card
 - nethack: There is a CLI version of it, but the graphical one seems nicer.
 - ManiaDrive: Small and fast car game. You can kill a few hours with it before
   you get tired.
 - supertux: Have you played supermario? So you know what supertux is.
 - LiquidWar: You are a liquid and you should eat all enemies to win. you can
   either play with the stupid AI or with friends(locally with the same
   keyboard or over a network like Internet or your office/home LAN)
 - Atanks or Atomic tanks: Destory all enemy tanks to win. You can either play
   with AI or friends.
 - Wesnoth: turn based stratagy games. Move your units in your turn and destory
   enemy leader.

### Graphical games which require a faster computer with a good graphics card
 - Minetest: A nice free(in both meaning: freedom and price) Minecraft-like
   game. Note that you should get subgames and play or play on a server. What
   is shipped with Minetest is not playable. Even without a [good] graphics
   card, at FPS=15 on my computer it's nice and playable.
 - Xonotic: A nice action game.
 - Warzone2100: It's somehow like Warcraft
