Popovers. - joneworlds@mailbox.org This one is super simple. I make them for supper for my kids sometimes. They are both very picky eaters, maybe even problem eaters, I am not clear. But even they'll eat these, and help me make them. Eggs, flour, margarine or butter, milk of some kind, salt, muffin cups. Put the oven to 350F. You beat two eggs with a cup of milk or something like it, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Add a cup of flour and beat until smooth. Then melt 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter in the microwave. I don't know, 30 seconds. Put paper muffin liners inside a usual 12-muffin tray, and use a paintbrush or pastry brush or something to brush the insides of those papers with quite a lot of the butter. Then pour the batter into the 12 cups, and make for 30 minutes. When you take them out, immediately poke them all with a fork. It sounds useless, but I think it's really important. Then after they cool a couple of minutes, take them out of the papers. Usually this is easy. Occasionally this is extremely difficult, and I don't know why. Maybe I forgot the fork-poking thing. Anyways, you can dip them in jam or pancake syrup or something, or just eat them on their own.
