WARNING: Rant Craptastic annoying day. On top of that, my mom got scammed and doesn't seem to concerned about it. It was only $50, but still. I told her not to click on fucking ads for her stupid-ass mobile games and what does she do? She clicks one. "It said Home Depot." "Anyone can put the Home Depot logo on an ad." "Should I contact them?" "No! They're the scammers!" "But they said to contact them if there are any problems." "It's a scam! Contact your bank." "Okay. I'm logging into Paypal. I think I bought it with them" "Don't buy anything if it's not through A-to-Z site!" ... "Did you find the charge?" "No, it looks like I paid through my credit card." "Okay. Log into your bank." "I'm logging into my bank account with ." "Did you find the charge?" "No. I thought you wanted me to log into my bank. It's not tied to the CC." "Well, log into the ." "When you say 'bank,' I think of . I misunderstood." ... "Did you log into yet?" "No, I found something I needed for my taxes." *exasperated sigh* "Can you call them?" "I don't want to call them now. It's too late." "Okay, but you have to call them soon to take care of this." --- I get a new device with one part that is particularly small. I make the mortal sin of opening it on a recliner. Down the inside of the chair it goes. *clink* *roll* *moves chair* "Where is it?" "I can't find it." 15 minutes later I find it because it had fallen INSIDE the actual chair, some wooden box with only a tiny hole opening at the top. I nearly knock over tables and drinks multiple times trying to shake it out. I'm exhausted from shaking a chair when it finally clinks out on the ground. Great. All that aggravation. But wait! There's more! So I recently got rid of a Xfnt cable internet. That's great. Problem: the stupid fucker who installed the replacement just let the wire lay on the ground in my yard (after he broke it while installing it, of course). Now it's not receiving properly and we're the only ones around that are having this problem. Some critter may have chewed on the wire. Fuck if I know. Now I'm forced to resort to my cell phone plan (which is pay-per-byte) for any internet connection. Great. The earliest they can get to it is two days from now. Perfect. Thank fuck the actual router works and I have an extensive personal collection on DLNA. Other problem: we got Joutube TV and not more than 2 days after I get the Ccast working, the Internet connection dies. No TV for Mom outside of the antenna, which is conveniently being difficult now that the Ccast dongle's electromagnetic field is interfering. PERFECT! And the cat keeps pissing on the kitchen floor so I have to wear shoes/sandals indoors. It happened again tonight and I almost slipped and fell. First world problems, I know. It's just really annoying.
