I got a new job loosely at an old workplace (it's a bit complicated). It deals with tech stuff and customer support, which I like... a lot. I got access to my old work email... a few years worth of unread emails, a good chunk that were MSOlook reminders for events/tasks that I was never able to complete. I left the previous position there in such a hurry I never got a chance to do digital cleanup. Now I have. I moved/deleted everything from the old position. It feels so good. I'm not in the same section so I don't have to interact with old co-workers. The one that I would have liked to talk to quit, so I'm happy for her, too. I'm so much happier at my current position. It is night and day different. My co-workers want me there. The people are super nice, generous, helpful. It's generally very chill. I did a lot of manual labor early while waiting for permissions, but even lifting heavy mechanical objects was far better than the previous job. It really is that much better. The worst part is driving back and/or working with Win 11. I hope to be there for a very long time.
