I currently run a (very rarely updated) blog on the WWW. I use
jekyll to take markdown input and spit out static HTML pages,
and don't do anything fancy with it. Given my affinity for
plain-text mediums, I might look into having jekyll (or some
other tool) also output a plain-text version, and then just
provide an HTTP proxied version.
