Thanks to republic user Joneworlds for grabbing the proverbial bull
and getting a new issue of circumlunar transmissions [0] edited and
out the door. Jone also has a neat project called 'three gophers'
that combines random text from republic phlogs [1] and updates every
15 minutes. Take a look!

In other republic news, I'm considering a system upgrade from
FreeBSD 11 (which is no longer officially supported) to 12. This is
still behind the current release, but I'm not too concerned with a
slower pace of upgrades here in the smolnet. What we have certainly
works fine as-is, but it does bother me a bit that I can't get
security updates for 11 anymore. I guess just years of being a
sysadmin have made me used to constant security updates, but I have
to remember this is not a corporate environment. In any case, if I
do the upgrade, it will most likely be in January sometime.
