 New Job

This is currently the second week of  my new job. So far I am happy
and not having  to commute halfway around  the world (exaggerating,
of course) every day is doing me  tons of good. Slowly I learn what
is  what, domain  specific language  and overall  structure of  the
product.

My first task  is to rip out the integration  to an external system
and replace  it because that  system will  be upgraded and  the new
version  breaks basically  everything. Fun  stuff since  I have  to
touch most  of the product's  components. We'll see how  this plays
out, but I get a better understanding every day.

The keyboard [1] is great. Still  mistyping often, but just have to
power through  that. I am  getting used to it  and I can't  wait to
receive  the trackball  module.  I hate  how I  have  to leave  the
default positon to reach for the mouse since it is so comfortable.

The other  office stuff is  all sorted  out, except for  the chair.
Unfortunately  it started  sagging randomly,  maybe it's  giving up
after almost ten years of daily usage. Can't complain, since it was
cheap but still  affords a good sitting position and  does not hurt
my  back like  so many  other  office chairs.  Soon it  is time  to
upgrade to something serious I fear.

Let's see how the rest of the month goes.
