Ok, this is day one for me in this "Gopherspace" stuff. Let's see how it works.
I am a system administrator and retro computer hobbyst from Rosario, Argentina.
I'm not married, but I do have a girlfriend. Still, I prefer to live on my own
and she comes to visit me a few days (and nights) a week.

So anyways, I discovered this ancient Gopher protocol (I write these lines in 2018)
just a few days ago, and I love it. Why? Because I like working with a text-only
environment, no graphics, no time to waste designing a "visual user interface".

I learned to program and use computers back in 1983, when all you had was text.
And if you wanted to use a computer, you had to use the command line. Either
good old BASIC or MS-DOS. I often miss the simplicity of those days. Even though
there was no Internet, we still managed to have fun with computers.

So, in SDF I have discovered a wonderful retro-computing community and lots of
hobbysts like me. I'm really happy with this place.

What's next? Well, I will try to keep a "phlog" like most other Gopher users do.
