I've been a proud Linux user since 1995, but realize that I could have 
started much sooner with some version of BSD. I'd heard about SDF.org for 
some time and now that I see it started in 1987 and wish I'd heard about 
it sooner. I passed the basic Amateur Radio license course with Honours in 
2015 and although I'm not superactive I am excited about The HamWan 
technology Developed in the Puget Sound area of Washington State.   
Kelowna BC, Canada has a registered HamWan and was told if they could get 
a signal to the border we could be connected with the Network in 
Washington which reaches to the Southern and Northern Borders of the 
State.  People in Portland Oregon can connect and there is an actual link 
to a tower in Victoria BC Canada on Vancouver Island.
