There is a Baofeng uv-5r sitting on the shelf to my left playing jazz.
Behind me, stream water is finishing filtering through a micro filter, 
getting ready to be heated for coffee.
In front of me, there is a 2008 Thinkpad x200, that is plugged in to a 
1kWh battery, with enough stored energy to get me through the evening.

The door to the little space I am living in is open to the outside.
If I were to go and look out, as I often do, I would see a chicken coop,
and next to it a garden enclosed with fencing made with cut alder logs. 
There is an Australian Sheperd sleeping next to me.

Outside, I hear that the world is falling apart. But currently, this 
smol happy, is a big happy.
