I took some intentional time semi-offline
recently. Not completely offline, just enough to
keep vaguely in touch with work and deal with any
problems (or which there were none). As ever I'm
lucky to have that flexibility in my life, but I
think I needed it.

We had the funeral for my grandfather. My Dad and
his brothers spoke beautifully. My sister read a
poem, which was a huge effort given her current
health issues. There were about 30 people at the
crematorium; not bad for a 98-year-old.

Back on the horse tomorrow, though; London for a
lunch, and then back to board meetings and normal
duties by Friday.
