I had a surprising phone call on Saturday. 

It was from the chairman at a substance abuse
charity where I'm a trustee. One of the leads had
suffered a brain embolism. 

He'd laid on the floor of his kitchen for 3 days
before one of his neighbours checked on him
(apparently his dog was barking). The guy is 50
years old; he's fit; he walked his dog about 10
miles a day. 7 children and 14 grandchildren.

I can't stop thinking about this.
