September 5 Questions 2020-09-03 ====================================================================== My responses to Christina's 5Qs for September: gemini://gemini.circumlunar.space/users/christina/index.gmi > 1. When was the last time that you laughed out loud? What made you laugh? Hmmm - I'm not so sure. It's pretty often that my children do something amusing though, so probably not long ago. If not, we were watching old 1st season episodes of Arrested Development last night. Those are pretty funny, so I laughed a bit. > 2. Do you like re-makings/re-imaginings of films and TV series? I don't tend to watch many films, or that much TV really. Probably the stuff I tend to watch isn't the type of thing that gets remade either. However, if someone decides to re-make Back to the Future or Monsters Inc. let me know, and I'll be available to have a strong opinion. > 3. You are assigned to write two or three fortunes to be put into fortune cookies. What will they be? * You should grow your own tomatoes. They are tasty. * Music is the best medicine! > 4. If you are in a bad mood, do you prefer to be left alone or have someone to cheer you up? Hmmm.. tough. If I'm mad at *something* like a computer I probably want to be left alone until I defeat it, or it defeats me. If I'm mad about a a person, or someting they've done, then distractions are welcome. > 5. What would have been your dream subject at school, or your dream syllabus lesson? I would have like to learn more about industrial history or architecture. I like to wonder around cities thinking about such things, or visit those types of sites online. Because I grew up in the UK I was down to 3 subjets at age 16... Maths, Physics, and Computing. At age 18 it was onto straight Computer Science through my BSc and PhD. I enjoyed those and consider myself lucky I don't regret having picked them.
