/~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~\ I started using a pi-hole[1] recently, and I'll be honest, it feels like a discount uBlock Origin without needing the extension. And I'm perfectly okay with this concept. The fewer extensions I need to rely on, the snappier my actual browser is. Plus, it keeps even more things from trying to load in lynx, which makes *that* faster as well. |~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~| Recently, I kinda got into it with someone after they did nothing but attack me for using an iOS device. I pretty much told them that, if it weren't for 1) my banking and second-factor authetication needs, 2) my dislike of Android after *years* of fighting with it, and 3) the loss of Firefox OS, I wouldn't need to use iOS. Their response was "What about Ubuntu Touch?" After looking at the supported devices list[2]... I might consider it, if I can get the money to buy a Nexus 4 or Nexus 5. Those two seem to be the only handsets without problems. Admittedly, I'd rather just go back to my LG Fx0[3], but given the marketplace is gone, and Firefox OS was abandoned by Mozilla, it's hard to justify it completely. Well, unless I started patching it myself or something. \~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~/ [1]: https://pi-hole.net/ [2]: https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ [3]: http://fx0.hellco.net/
