KDE Neon melted last night, and I had to install basic Xubuntu to get a working desktop again. I love KDE, but the instability of Neon just killed it for me. So I'm taking the time to give `ratpoison`[0] another try. Tiling window managers being as simple as they are, it works really damn well with my setup. `feh` for displaying a wallpaper, `xcompmgr` for compositing and transparency, and `urxvt` for my terminal. I've also got Firefox and my other GUI apps, but most of what I do is CLI or TUI anyway, so it's not going to hurt keeping to that. lynx, emacs, mpd, pulsemixer, bashpodder, toot... So many great pieces of terminal software to choose from. Plus Dillo. Dillo is awesome. |~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~| Only 6 days till I turn 34... I feel it all over, too. I'm going to be getting a teeth cleaning and fillings this next week, and four teeth to be extracted on the next Wednesday after that, so this Christmas is going to be a painful one. But, it needs to be done. Around 2/3 of one crown is missing, and another is wide open on the side, so despite the lack of pain right now, it'll happen eventually. At least I'm not dealing with outright illness right now. \~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~/ [0]: https://www.nongnu.org/ratpoison
