Today, I'm having to stay out of the house until heat and chem treatments are done, which should finish around 18:00-19:00 local time. So, right now, my partner and I are at the main branch of the public library while we wait. I'm sitting here typing this, and he's reading...something. Not sure what, and I don't want to bother him. I've had my second COVID-19 shot since my last phlog post, and that was hell. Still haven't fully recovered since I wasn't really allowed to have any time to do so, but that's life. Also getting back into the swing of trying to write *something* every day, even if it's just a little piece that I'll never post anywhere. Also wanting to get back into the habit of reading a bit each day. Whether it's a short story, part of a book, or some poetry, I really need to do some reading again to help with my writing skills. It's also partly why I ended up buying some books from the library bookstore, in particular some entries in the "Stephanie Plum" series of comedic mystery novels by Janet Ivanovich. They were some of my mom's favorite books, and I fell in love with Janet's writing style myself through her novel /The Rocky Road to Romance/. As I sit here at a table, looking out at the foot traffic going through a park across the street, it also makes me kinda want to get out fo the house a bit more. I'm vaccinated now, so that's not stopping me at this point. But having to drive across town to get here to the library is one barrier that I'm not too happy about. Sure, it's only a 7 minute drive on a good day, or about 15 minutes on a busy one, but gas isn't exactly cheap, and the busses aren't either. And then my uncle calls to tell me, "Hey, you can come home in about an hour. The house is about 140(°F) right now, but it should be cooled off by the time y'all get back. I'll probably upload this once we have the network equipment set up again, so for now, I'll leave it as it is. \~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~/
