In one week I leave my current job to take a payrise and
effective promotion at another company.

The new role will have a much higher level of responsibilies
and while that makes me a little nervous I look forward to
the challenge.

Strangely the new job offer came slightly before my current
company announced it was being sold, so it couldn't have come
at a better time.

I just hope my new manager accepts my obsession with "legacy"
and "retro" tech.
