It's been a minute

Hello again.

It's been a while since I last posted.

I don't have a good reason for that, but I guess like most people the
amount of free time I have ebbs and flows. I'd originally started
writing this entry on 2023-07-15, but them's the breaks.

In about 2 weeks my son will be starting high school. I know this is
a momentous event in his life, he is no longer a little kid (in his
eyes at least) and is growing up.

For some reason I expected that I would feel different, maybe
feeling the cold hands of death approaching as my offspring ages
and needs me less and less. But no, I still feel exactly the same.

Maybe it just hasn't hit me yet.
