Why did the monk self immolate?
He was a Vietnamese monk
fighting the goverment

Quite the meditation
to not flinch
His heart didn't burn
so they kept it

A fire by the forest
a fire by the lake

I recited mantra 
on the beach

Too warm, I went
for a swim
the lake is healing

The trauma is waning
my life is coming 
back to me
Even without a change
time heal

My writing is missing
my music is missing
my void is missing
the normal is missing

My leg is quite in 
need of care
my attention 
to my body 
is slowly coming back.
