---------------------------------------------------------------------- Wrestling with mutt 06/07/2021 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- *80s music plays* *record scratch* Yup thats me all right, you maybe wondering how did they get into this mess? Well it all started when I tried to send mail with mutt on the sdf-1....... the first thing that happened was that in mutt when you reply to mail it takes you to a dedicated editor, in this case its pico. However when I tried to save my message it doesn't work, typing in any name results in: >i/o error tmp/mutt-sdf-bunchofnumbers/name-you-typed not typing any name just gets canceled. There was a post on bboard of this same issue but no solution was found, I think the user verified and used something else. now I could do that but I wasnt done yet. I did some reading and you can compose email from the command line so I tried >mutt -s "re:subject" -i email.txt person@place.org it gave me >unknown mail flag. I tried >mutt -s "re:subject" person@place.org < email.txt >unknown mail flag. >mutt -f ~/sent >unknown mail flag. I then realized command line arguments don't work here because pico -h or pico -version just opens pico. So yeah for what its worth this is the first bug I've found but god is it frustrating. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Muto if your reading this: I'm sorry, this is why I haven't replied.
